More about our rooms
The Haven
This space is equipped with everything women need to feel comfortable and at ease, including access to our coffee bar, a library, and a variety of trauma-informed activities. The library is a valuable resource for women, providing them with information on a variety of topics related to trauma, recovery, and healing. The Haven offers a variety of activities that promote rest and relaxation, such as art therapy, journaling, and puzzles.

Sensory Room
Our sensory rooms help children reduce anxiety and stress, improve attention and concentration, promote relaxation and self-regulation, and provide a safe and supportive environment. These rooms are designed by a team of designers trained in sensory spaces. The rooms will include soft lighting, soothing music, water features, tactile objects, swings, other vestibular equipment, and more.
Our Sensory Rooms are always monitored by trauma trained SOZO staff members. Children may
use these spaces in one-hour increments while their caregivers are utilizing other spaces within our
building.
The Playhouse
Guests may use the playhouse alongside their child in one-hour increments. SOZO staff members will be available to demonstrate and instruct play activities that promote healthy child development as needed.

In addition, The Playhouse at SOZO is seeking to provide a safe and supportive environment for foster care visits. The goal is to help children nurture their bonds with their birth families, even while they are in foster care. Foster Parents will be invited to use other spaces within our building during the scheduled visitation.

Amigos
Amigos has comfortable seating, games and activities, and access to resources such as job training programs, mental health services, and tutoring.
Teens may use Amigos at SOZO for 2-3 hour increments while their caregivers are utilizing other spaces within our building. SOZO staff members are available to provide mentorship, assist with homework, and provide access to additional resources.
